Indulge me for a moment as I brag on the work of our faculty and staff at Sierra College. The State of California requires us to compare ourselves to a peer group of similar colleges on a variety of measures — student progress and achievement, persistence, completion rate for vocational courses, completion rate for basic skills courses, and improvement rates for basic skills and ESL students.

The presentation, which you can view in a PDF file by clicking here, demonstrates that Sierra College’s scores almost uniformly exceeded that of its peers on these measures of educational quality. We’ve got a great team at Sierra College, and they deserve our thanks as a community for this great accomplishment.
